The Matthew Family

This has been one of the most beautiful houses I have ever stayed in. There has been everything we required and more. The grounds are breathtaking and we enjoyed the house and its amazing environment so much. Wonderful hospitality and we will definitely be back.

The Hunts, Heaths and Findlaysons

Farr, Loch Nest and the Garden Cottage have been a wonderful venue for an eightieth birthday family get together. The youngest grandchild aged five and the oldest aged eighteen all had a wonderful time at the loch rowing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Swimming in the river, long walks, tennis and games after dinner - all in all a perfect holiday. We will be back.

Staying at Farr House has been a terrific family holiday and a priviledge to an insight into a long established family home. Fascinating to learn about and see the family heritage and story and also its modern incarnation for tourism and environmental insustry – both at scale. The house is great as are the estate walks and the loch. This two weeks brought together grandparents, partners and grandchildren none of whom will ever forget this experience.

We shall forever cherish our memories at Farr and delicious dinners, warm hospitality and surroundings steeped in history. As a special highlight we all enjoyed bouncing over the moors in the Rovers and hiking along the burn Our lunch in the bothy was a special treat for the stalwart hikers.
