Forming part of Farr House, This Annexe is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment that is perfect for couples and singles looking for a private get away.

With it’s own entrance and large and comfortable open plan living space, The Annexe is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Large windows let in streams of light and open out onto stunning views across the surrounding fields, giving the house a peaceful and secluded atmosphere.

Warmth and privacy

The private entrance and hallway lead past a downstairs WC, cloakroom and up the stairs to your en-suite double bedroom.

Under-floor heating can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Loch Nest features a large and well-appointed open plan living area.

This comprises of a fully fitted kitchen, dining area that can seat up to six, and a spacious sitting room.

This comfortable and well-equipped apartment adjoins the impressive Farr House, a recently renovated C19th property set in stunning private grounds.

You will enjoy peace and quiet, comfortable surroundings and a plethora of wildlife, walks and activities to fit everyone’s holiday desires.

Loch Nest can potentially be extended to incorporate a further double en-suite bedroom if availability allows.

It's hard to think of a more relaxing way to spend your time than slowly gliding across this enchanting loch.

Take a picnic and enjoy the tranquillity of listening to only the natural sounds of the surrounding woods.

Tennis court 

You will have shared access to a tennis court.

Racquets and balls can be provided upon request.

Other games such as croquet, lawn bowls and badminton are also available.  

Getting to Loch Nest

It's easier than you'd think getting here.

We can arrange private Land Rover pickup / dropoff from Inverness airport or railway station.

By Road

Driving from the North
Follow the road signs for the A9 South towards Perth. Approximately eight miles south of Inverness, take the B851 signposted for Fort Augustus. 

Follow the road for approximately five miles until you come to the village of Inverarnie and shortly after the village of Farr. 

Farr House is located 500 metres to your left after you have passed through Farr Village. You will see a gatehouse and a wooden house sign to indicate the driveway.

Driving from the South
Leave the A9 at the B851 Fort Augustus exit, and follow directions given above. Farr House is approximately 40 minutes from Aviemore.

By Train

Trains to Inverness leave daily from London Kings Cross and follow the main Eastern rail route. 

These are operated by Virgin Trains East Coast: www.virgintrainseastcoast.com

A sleeper train is available from London Euston, operated by Caledonian Sleeper. This service does not run daily.

Directions from Inverness station
(c. 25 mins): Exit Inverness City Centre, following signs to the A9 South.

Join the A9 Southbound (Perth), then follow directions given above.
